We are strong believers in "one at a time rescue", thus rather than focusing on taking in as many dogs as possible, our goal is insure that every dog we take in is given the best care and future possible, while not overworking and stressing out our volunteers and fosters. We don't always succeed at that last part, but we do our best.
We specialize in what the name says, "big, fluffy dogs": Great Pyrenees, Saint Bernards, Newfoundlands, and their mixes. But, we value all dogs, and have been known to have everything from chihuahuas, dachshunds, and pomeranians, to labs, border collies, and hounds. We are suckers, and given a sad enough story, or good enough temperament, if we have room, we'll take in just about anything.
Mission: Our mission is to save dogs from high-kill shelters and abusive/neglective situations, get them into safe foster homes, and provide them with any needed vetcare, training, and socialization.
