Educational Resources for Children, Inc. (ERfC) is a private, non-profit 501(c)3 charitable organization established in 1994 to provide quality after-school programs for children and their families in Enfield, CT. ERfC operates five School-Age Care Centers for after-school activities in Enfield. The ERfC School-Age Care Centers are licensed through the CT Department of Public Health and run in collaboration with the Enfield Public Schools.
The elementary level After School-Age Care Centers operate from 3-6 PM Monday through Friday. The JFK School-Age Center, located at the JFK Middle School, operates from 2:30-6 PM Monday through Friday.
Students in all Centers spend 45 minutes in supervised homework time. The balance of program time is spent in activity centers such as technology, arts & crafts, science activities, physical games and activities, and other special programming.
