National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence of the Central MS Area

About

National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD) of the Central MS Area, Inc. nonprofit 501(c)3 organization established in 1949, stands firm on 3 Pillars. The 3 Pillars represent the three areas of focus we strive to deliver to those that need it most: Prevention (education), Treatment (assessments/referrals), and Recovery (support).

In the area of Prevention, NCADD provides educational inventions/programs and activities to children, adolescents, young adults, educators, and professionals across the state on life skills and the dangers of drugs and alcohol as well as strategies to avoid them altogether. In the area of Treatment, NCADD directs hundreds of people every year seeking help to the appropriate services based on their needs.  NCADD encourages individuals and families to take advantage of the free initial consultation services to steer them in the right direction (residential, outpatient, detox, etc.).  NCADD focuses on the individual as a “whole” person and offers an array of ancillary services to enhance treatment success. In the area of Recovery, NCADD is a resource for those looking for support groups and other addiction recovery groups across the state. Our Recovery bookstore supplies give those in recovery and local treatment centers the opportunity to find the encouragement and support they need with books and gifts that inspire lifelong recovery and personal growth.
