About

Since 1965, Honolulu Community Action Program, Inc. (HCAP) has helped Oahu residents achieve self-sufficiency and improve their social and economic conditions. HCAP offers a wide range of programs and services, including education, employment, housing, food and energy assistance, to improve the lives of over 17,000 people each year. The Ha Initiative is just one of the program HCAP offers to the community.

The Ha Initiative: Creative STEM after-school program supports working families by providing a high quality, free educational program for at-risk youth. HCAP launched the Ha Initiative to provide easy access to educational materials and experiences, a safe and healthy environment, caring and responsive staff, and low child-to-adult ratios. The Ha Initiative operates at 3 centers located in: Kalihi, Waianae, and Aiea. The program will be expanding and opening up a fourth center on the Windward side by the end of January 2014.

I am not sure if you can help. My husband had a heart attack last month on the 17. He will be out of work until (earliest) April or May. We need help with our rent. our rent is $1,250 per month. I will be able to cover for food and utilities. His TDI will cover only a small portion of the rent. Would you be able to assist us. My cell number is (808) 307-0330. Thank you for your time and consideration.
