Ride Idaho is an annual, seven-day fully supported bicycle tour that features different regions of Idaho each year. 350 riders and 50 volunteers participate. Ride Idaho seeks to expose its participants to Idaho's nostalgia, beauty and hospitality. In 2011 riders came from across the nation and the globe.
Tour dates for 2012 are August 5-11, and will feature Idaho's North Central Region. Starting in New Meadows and ending in Moscow, the tour will travel through the Nez Perce National Forest, Native American Tribal Lands, Lewis and Clark Expedition Routes, the Camas Prairie, adjacent to the Clearwater and Salmon Rivers, and through the pristine farming region of the Great Palouse.
Mission: Ride Idaho's primary goal is to provide a positive economic impact to Idaho's communities. We accomplish this goal by hiring community organizations to supply the bicycle tour with meals, entertainment and logistical needs. Ride Idaho also invests in community development projects such as city park benches, playground equipment, first responder rescue equipment, school athletic equipment and other enhancemet projects that the communites need.
