The Idaho Youth Ranch is a non-profit 501(c)(3) agency that offers emergency shelter, residential care, job readiness training, alternative education, adoption services, family counseling, and more for at-risk kids and their families. We also operate a network of 29 (and counting!) thrift stores that help fund our youth programs and services.
Idaho Youth Ranch provides jobs for more than 350 Idahoans in communities across the state who staff our program operations, thrift stores, offices, and distribution centers.
Since the day Reverend James Crowe and his wife Ruby Carey Crowe started a boys’ ranch in the desert outside Rupert in the 1950s, the Idaho Youth Ranch has grown into a state-wide multi-service agency serving at-risk boys, girls, and their families. Thanks to our generous donors and revenue from our thrift store sales, we are able to keep care affordable so that no child is turned away because of the family’s inability to pay for services.
