Greetings,

My name is Kenny Felton and I am the executive director for a nonprofit called Texas Music Partners. Texas Music Partners is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is

Using music as a foundation, Texas Music Partners helps children find their lifelong creative passion while empowering young thinkers to take innovative approaches to problem-solving and gain confidence in themselves as they grow into adulthood.

We are currently looking for volunteer teachers to teach our courses 2-4 days a week for our after-school STEAM program. These courses would be offered to schools during the school year and summer school, at each school we are working with. The time requirements would be 1 – 1.5 hours per day plus prep time for at least one semester or summer.

We would offer training and the equipment to teach these courses. The teachers would have to have their own transportation to get to and from the schools we are working with.
Thank you so much for your help! Actually, our principal changed the date to March, but I will send an e-mail to the address you gave me.
Hello, I'm the librarian at McBee Elementary in North Austin. I was hoping to have a guest speaker come and talk to our students for STEM night in February. Where can I connect with someone who can do that for us?
Hi, Jeannie! I can see if any of our Women in STEM Outreach Ambassadors at UT Austin can help out or if any of our local STEM professionals might be available. Can you please send a blurb about the request and need with all the details (date, time, location, etc.) to wistem@utexas.edu? Thanks! — Tricia Berry Tricia Berry on January 10, 2024
