Housatonic Habitat for Humanity

About

Description
The Housatonic Habitat for Humanity, based in Danbury, CT supports central and northern Fairfield County Connecticut. Habitat for Humanity seeks to eliminate homelessness and poverty by creating affordable housing for those in need.

Some of the tasks volunteers can participate in are home building, ReStore Store support, fundraising, event management, community relations, marketing and communications, web site development, homesite planning, bookkeeping and office support.

The ReStore is a home improvement center where new and used appliances, furniture and home improvement materials are taken in and then resold to the public for much less than the market value.

Please contact volunteer@housatonichabitat.org or call 203-744-1340 if you would like to volunteer. You may also visit the website at www.housatonichabitat.org

Mission: Housatonic Habitat for Humanity is people working in partnership to build homes with the inadequately sheltered, creating self-reliant families and enriched communities.
