We are a Federal Work Study Program that employs between 55-65 Lafayette College Student tutors each semester.  Our tutors work in partnership with a wide range of Easton Area Community Partner programs to increase the literacy skills of children in the Easton Area School District.

We currently serve 7 community partner sites in the Easton Community, including:

  • The Learning Center at Third Street Alliance
  • Cheston Elementary's Cheston Cougar Learning Club
  • Easton Area Public Library Free After School Tutoring Program
  • March Elementary In School and After-School Program
  • Salvation Army's After School Program- The Salvation Army Learning Zone
  • YMCA Pre-K Counts Pre-school Program
  • YMCA School Age Child Care After School Program

These sites offer a wide range of experience for the tutors and are intentially selected based on the needs of the children who attend these particular community partner programs.

Tutors build skills in teaching and mentoring while making an impact on the children that they tutor.
