On Wednesday evenings a small group of Gustie volunteers spend about an hour visiting with the clients at the Leo A. Hoffmann Center, a local residential treatment facility for male juvenile offenders. While at the Hoffmann Learning Center the group leads fun and engaging activities, games, and discussion which facilitates learning social skills, appropriate boundaries, and demonstrates healthy relationships.Mission Statement
The mission of the Hoffmann Center volunteer program is to build positive relationships with adolescent males who are in treatment for problematic sexual behavior through the use of games, activities, and discussion in a welcoming environment that helps the youth at the center develop and learn the social skills necessary for appropriate social interactions.
