In 1995, area civic and medical leaders formed Community Blood Center of the Ozarks with one simple mission: "To provide a quality blood supply, in a timely manner, at the lowest reasonable fee, while remaining accountable to the local community, blood donors and health care providers." CBCO employs state-of-the-art technology and strict quality control methods to ensure that our area hospitals have all the blood they need to save lives. We remain committed to fulfilling present and future needs, always keeping the patient in mind. As a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, Community Blood Center of the Ozarks only recovers the cost incurred in the donation, testing and distribution of blood and blood products. Community Blood Center of the Ozarks is also mindful of who we represent - thousands of blood donors, who selflessly give of themselves so that others may live. We will always strive to make those thousands proud of the way in which we represent them.

The Community Blood Center and Pat Walker have partnered together to host our 2nd annual “Well Pig Sooie” Blood drive. Our blood inventory is critically low at this time – we are in an emergency appeal right now for all O blood types, we have less than a day supply on our shelves. We need some help on campus to get the word out to create some buzz about our critical need right now!! The blood drive is January 26 & January 27, 9:30am-3:30pm in the Union Ballroom. Don't miss your chance to receive a FREE Houndstooth Press tshirt!
