YMCA Youth Court is a juvenile justice program based on peer to peer restorative practices. Youth court serves young people that have been charged with misdemeanors and admit guilt, throughout Marin. Service-learning students become Associate Case Managers for Youth Court. They support clients in completing their restorative accountability sanctions after observing the client's hearing and understanding circumstance. They maintain family contact and all follow-through to completion. Restorative Practices provides on-site guidance to peer leaders at Junior Highs and High Schools throughout Marin.
