Hi, all,
We did a small-dog playgroup this morning at AAC. Smallville is a little underpopulated at the moment, and lots of the dogs were still on stray hold, but those that were able to come out to play got in a good long play. Everyone behaved, with only a few minor "discussions" between dogs.

We want to start one or more regularly-scheduled small dog play groups. For starters, we're planning a play session next Sunday (the 23rd). Who's interested in that time or another time?

Hi, I just requested to be a member. I understand you can occasionally use some help with the assessment and observations of pups in playgroup and I'd love to start there to help out and learn more!

Where are the May playgroups?

The Play Group Yard in located on the west side of the shelter. As you enter the campus from Levander Loop, proceed forward, keep right on the drive to the opposite side of building and you will see the play yard covered by a larger blue shade awning.

Any chance I could bring my AAC foster puppy in to participate in playgroups if I volunteer to help run them? Thanks!

I'm not sure on that one - it's never come up. How old of a puppy? Has she had all her shots?

Also, it always depends on the set up of play group. They changes every day - sometimes multiple times. This is due to the varying play styles of the dogs with in the play group. Keep that in mind too.
**However, we may be able to crate and secure your foster pup in an office at AAC while you help with PGs. :)

Anymore PG being scheduled? If the calendars updated I'll plan to do 1-2/wk.

Playgroups are posted on the calendar. Only the April dates are open at this point. Request access to the calendar if you don't already have it. :-)

Hooray - We are back to Play Groups TOMORROW! If anyone is available to help be a Runner, even if just for an hour (or more), please sign up! All this rain has been stressful for our shelter dogs. They really could a break and some play-time. If Wednesday is not convenient, we also need Runners on Thursday and Saturday and Sunday. Any questions, please contact me or Amanda -
Thanks you,
