Monarch Dining

Monarch Dining at ODU serves thousands of meals, and hires hundreds of culinarians, servers, chefs, and student workers each year. We also have a strong presence in the Hampton Roads community, and our employees have the unique expertise, knowledge and passion to address important community needs, like health and wellness, and the need for strong employment skills and access to jobs.

  • Our chefs teach the relationship between diet and wellness, extending Healthy For Life™ commitment into our campus and community via classroom seminars, hands-on trainings, television appearances that reach the greateer Hampton Roads community, and entries in national publications.
  • Our human resources professionals train student workers with information that will enhance/build their foundation for employment success.
  • We have “adopted” the UpCenter, a non-profit organization whose mission is to protect children, strengthen families, empower people in crisis, and maximize independence for those with disabilities.
  • We provide students the opportunity to donate a Meal Swipe at the end of each semester which will go toward the purchase of fresh produce and food for a local non-profit organization.

We invest financial resources, dedicate the skills of our employees, and develop community partnerships to make a meaningful difference by:

  • Helping People Succeed through Education and Employment
  • Empowering People to Lead Healthier Lives
