Description
Seton Youth Shelters seeks volunteers for their Mentoring Children of Prisoners Program, which matches a youth between the ages of 4-18 with an adult mentor age 20 or older. All youth have been affected by the incarceration (past or present) of a family member. Mentors spend a minimum of 4 hours per month (weekly or biweekly) participating in recreational activities, helping with homework, going to museums, trips to the beach, helping with homework at the library, and other age-appropriate activities. Minimum 1 year commitment. Background checks will be performed.
