About

Washington Regional Senior Support in Action formerly Faith in Action, is an outreach program of Washington Regional Medical Foundation.  The mission of Senior Support in Action is to connect isolated seniors in Benton and Washington counties to their community through volunteer support. Since 1996, Senior Support in Action has provided non-medical services to support the health and well-being of seniors in need.  Through the use of compassionate volunteers, Senior Support in Action provides individualized services at no cost to the client. 

Senior Support in Action Services Volunteer Opportunities include the following:

Friendly visits -Providing a senior with a friendly visit.

Telephone visits - calling to visit and check on those who are socially isolated.

Transportation - making it possible to keep medical appointments

Light chore assistance - helping to keep the home safe and livable for those who do not qualify for other programs.

Yard work - helping to keep the lawn mowed or leaves raked when the client is unable to do so.

Pantry item deliveries - providing a senior with food, essential household items and personal care products.

Social activities - connecting seniors and volunteers with fun social opportunities.
