The fair was well run. We had a great time talking to many students who stopped by our table to visit and take pictures of our miniature therapy horse, Teenie Beanie.
I loved being able to spend time with the horses and groom, help clean and even meet one of the students. I was able to help clean track and take care of the minis. It was great!
I loved getting to side walk with our student on Saturday. We went on several trails I had not been on and I also groomed one of the horses. I loved my time there, as usual!
I got to lead a horse this morning for the first time. I really enjoyed experiencing the horse in that way and learning how to handle it. I was also able to give the rider a few pointers and it was fun getting to interact with her more closely. I hope I get to lead again!
I got to walk Teeny Weeny the miniature horse and help take care of some of the horses basic needs. It was a great day!
This opportunity was really insightful. We were trained on some of the basics of assisting riders with special needs. I hope I can volunteer regularly!
We will have a booth at the UT Volunteer Fair Feb. 5, 2014
