Event Description

Join Palouse Conservation District (PCD) to help improve water quality along Palouse's streams to create habitat by planting native trees and shrubs, removing mulch fabric, and eliminating invasive plants! Volunteers will have an opportunity to get their hands dirty and give back to the Palouse at various sites along the Bill Chipman Palouse Trail. This is a family-friendly event and all ages are welcome to attend.

Be prepared to work outside in varying weather conditions including rain, snow or shine. Dress appropriately for the weather, including sturdy shoes or boots. Volunteers will be walking on uneven terrain in tall grass. Long pants and closed-toe shoes are required. We recommend shoes you don’t mind getting dirty. Crocs or sandals are not closed-toe

Participants are responsible for their own form of transportation to and from the site. We may travel to another location from the meeting spot. Carpooling is encouraged when possible.

Water will be available on site but a water bottle and/or snacks are recommended.

PCD will provide tools, water, and gloves for participants.

All participants will be asked to complete a health screening before participating. We recommend all participants show up 10 minutes early to complete forms and waivers.
