Event Description

Opportunity: Hardberger Park has a unique diversity of both flora and fauna and that diversity is being threatened by exotic invasive weeds. WE NEED YOUR HELP to combat these weeds which include Australian and Kleberg Bluestem, wild mustard, and malta star thistle. Join us for Weed Wednesdays at Hardberger Park from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. as we will pull weeds as well as plant native plant material in treated areas.

Impact/Purpose: Invasive species take away from our lands' natural beauty while hurting the native ecosystem. By removing invasive weeds and planting native material, we can bring back our lands to their orginal state.

Bring: Water bottle, gloves if you have them, wear causal clothing

Location: It is at the Phil Hardberger Park but please contanct Wendy for more information as weeding will take place at different areas of the park!!
