I was amazed by how quickly we filled the trash bags! On further reflection, using buckets and then transferring stuff to bags would require a bit more staging and some testing to figure out what works best. I found it a challenge to get through brush with the bag—not just a matter of the bag ripping open as it snagged on things, but of being pulled off balance as the bag caught on a branch I thought I had cleared. Managing a second bag for recyclables? Forget it! So the few that I snagged wound up in the same bag as the trash. Oh, and add this to the project totals: 150 Ligustrum lucidum uprooted (30 less than a foot tall; 120 from 2 to 12 feet tall; mostly 6 to 10 feet); 3 Ligustrum quihoui uprooted (1 to 4 feet tall); 1 Pyracantha coccinea uprooted (5 feet tall).
Thanks, Gustavo, for going all-out to organize these cleanups. I was amazed at the amount of trash y'all found!
Smooth and swift. Thanks!
I hope we did all they needed us to.
