Carter and I played Slitherio online and had a little friendly competition to see who could play for the longest without losing their game. He is a very kindhearted kid and never wants anyone to feel poorly; I admire his sincerity and his love for other people.
We had a competition this week to see which one of us could score the most goals in soccer. One thing that made me happy about this meeting was Carter telling me that he remembered when we first started meeting up last year and that he was happy that we were able to be Big Partner and Little Partner together again this year!
This week, Carter and I played a version of the Mannequin Challenge outside and had a miniature scavenger hunt since it was nicer outside!
We played football, basketball, and soccer all at the same time! We celebrated afterward with slushees and chatted about how school was going for Carter this year.
Carter and I played an online math game and also played a one-on-one game of two hand touch football in the gym.
Played in the gym and got snacks in the caf afterward!
Carter and I had our first meeting before the Big Partner/Little Partner match up because we knew we were going to be partners again! We played racketball, caught up about what we did this summer, and had cookies to celebrate!!
For our final meeting of the year, Carter and I attended the Big Partner Little Partner picnic with his dad, Josh! It was enlightening to see Carter in a setting with his father present: it made me happy to see that he acts the same way with me as he does with his family. We played corn hole, frisbee, and ate all kinds of tasty food! I was sad that this was my last meeting with Carter this year, but I look forward for our next two years together. I may even make it back down to St. Peter over the summer to see him play baseball!
Carter and I spent a good amount of time outside tonight. It is a bummer that it has been so cold for so long, because it is so nice being able to do activities outdoors! Carter showed me just how many pull-ups he could do and I was quite impressed. We also talked a good bit about the end of the school year and his excitement for starting 3rd grade in just a few short months.
