Ma Ophelia did not attend this class and instead I worked with another lady. We finished up both of her assessment tests and had time left over. We worked through the sounds each letter of the alphabet and looked at long and short vowels. We also worked on writing sentences with words that sound similar.
For office hours Abigail and I worked on organizing and labeling folders. I also worked on looking into English grammar and phonics rules for lesson plans and began organizing lesson plans that allow the student to work on learning these rules.
I did not get to work individually with a student so instead I looked into lesson plans. A lady who was interested in studying for the GED test came in so I also looked into the structure of that exam.
I worked with Ma Ophelia on reviewing the long and short vowels and vocabulary from the previous class. We also worked on writing sentences.
