At every volunteer activity, I get to meet very kind and like-minded people with so much care about building a thriving community. That makes me happy and love coming back again and again. Thanks for these great opportunities.

Park clean up at Dick Taylor Park that particular day was very helpful. It was very dirty due to ducks' dung; and community members, particularly those who use the basketball court were extremely grateful.
Sometimes just because something has not happened to us, it becomes so hard to notice and make sense of it. Organizations such as The Miss America Organization and Children's Miracle Network Hospitals give us the opportunities to recognize the needs around us and help as much as we can. I wish and hope to do more in future for the children and the community.
Pack-clean up was fun, the organizers were happy and very much appreciated our help.
It was quite a great experience, eye opening not only about how much attention should be paid towards cleaning the Truckee River but also on how many people are homeless and have to spend their nights in the bushes along the river. It is just an issue that I think does not get enough attention, or we just turn our backs and pretend it is nonexistent!
In preparation for the Reno Balloon Races, being involved in Rancho San Rafael Park clean up and bush clearing was a good opportunity to feeling being party of a greater community.
I think the Northern Nevada Food Bank is doing a great job and it was very rewarding being part of the volunteering team that on this day. The organization leadership was very appreciative, making all us (volunteers) feel that our time was well spent and impactful.
Homelessness is a big problem, it is our problem and we should pay attention to it as a community. It is not about them, it is about us.
