Martin Luther King Day of Service

Went to the Discovery Museum to assist the workers in the room with the children. The room I was in was very easy to assist because the kids got onto a project and got very distracted. There was a station to build circuits and test them out, which I tried to build some interesting ones to show the children it could be cool. I made a flying saucer where the fan spins a plastic propeller into the air. With that the kids came to me and wanted to see it. Along with that I explained to the why it worked, and that if you added more batteries it would make it more powerful and fly higher. This intrigued the children and made them curious to the way the circuits were designed and they were making suggestions how to make it better.
