Volunteering at the food bank was a blast. Our guide was Mr. Jerry and he told us a little bit about the food bank and what they accomplish year-round. At first, we organized bread to be delivered to families and after that, we moved easter objects into new boxes so that they could store them for next spring. Working with so many kind people was truly an experience and I recommend anyone looking for volunteer hours to try the food bank.
Starting at eight in the morning the staff of the UGArden introduced us to a volunteering junior named Mallory Warren, who became the leader of my friend and I. Together, we three pulled weeds off of the herb garden fence to make it look better. Of course fireants would play a role into it all, but we had fun regardless of both the fire from the ants and the sun.
