Ilana Brandes-Krug spent her practicum as a Coach at the Interfaith Youth Core (IFYC), a Chicago-based nonprofit that promotes interfaith work on college campuses across the country. Her job involved facilitating workshops and discussions at IFYC’s 2019 Interfaith Leadership Institute (ILI). In particular, the focused on ways to build authentic interfaith connections while honoring and learning from the differences between diverse faiths. She also spoke about her own experience launching BRIJ (Building Relations Islam and Judaism), a nonprofit educational program she cofounded at Brown University. In preparation for the Institute, Ilana attended two week-long retreats in Chicago to learn more about IFYC’s methodology and practices.
