Final shift with Officer Bryant tonight. Started slow didn't have any calls during the night except for a fire alarm. Proceeded to issue tickets and call it a night. Thankful for everyone in GPD for the experience and all the things I have learned throughout my time here.
On shift with Officer Bryant this week we tackled some new adventures including a couple MV stops and a fire alarm call. It was a pretty solid night
Pretty cool night. Responded to a call with Officer Bryant of a man who had his keys and possessions taken and needed help. His son ended up being +WMS so we arrested and processed him at the station. cool night
Good night tonight began with a few traffic stops and witnessing someone get pulled over for an OUI. Few minor vandalism calls as well.
First shift back after the holidays, Began issuing parking ban tickets for the first time. Got 15+ tickets in just that night. few MV stops but good night
Today Officer Bryant and I had to respond to a few interesting calls. Had to section 12 a lady after her drug overdose and had to recommend another woman to the hospital after she was hallucinating. At the conclusion of the night we chased a wanted girl around gardner for a few hours before she got away in the freezing cold. Best night of internship yet.
Tried a new shift today and went out with officer Coates for the first time. He was an excellent officer who was very skilled with his police work and I got to witness my first arrest and see how booking and processing worked. Besides that we responded to an accident at Elm st where a car hit another car causing city damage. Overall pretty eventful night
Pretty quiet night, made a few motor vehicle stops with officer Bryant and learned how to actively write a ticket. Overall good night.
Internship with officer Bryant was pretty neat today. Tried something new and picked up a first shift opportunity and was able to witness a prisoner transport in the morning to see how that went. After a pretty easy morning, just had a few MV stops and then followed up a response to a life alert call which turned out to be nothing.
This shift with officer Bryant was actually quite interesting. We had to investigate a few buildings due to reports of vandalism and little things like gates being left open during the night. Later in the night we had to respond to a woman seizing from withdrawals and I witnessed some real gritty things officers have to see on a daily basis.
