    Arrey @ Student senate

It was amazing. I volunteered my time to help set up for the event, facilitate and clean up afterwards. The event was the Women’s Walk event, in Honor of National Women’s Day. I also got the opportunity to meet with and speak with many different women at MC and share my experience at the College with them.

    Arrey @ ATLAS event

It was pretty cool. I took the high school students to their workshop and gave them a campus tour, alongside an ATLAS member.

We went over what we would do the next day for the ATLAS event. We went over the tour and what our group would be. It was very informative and interesting.

    World of Montgomery Festival

Sharing this experience with my club with amazing. They were all working, smiling, joking and having a really good time. It’s great to volunteer with other people because you learn something new about them and you develop a closer bond. I volunteered for the WoM festival last year and it was no different from this year. The entertainment from different cultures was beautiful. Next year, I hope to see my country there :).

Arrey @ GT campus 40th Anniversary

It was very fun. I helped put the cakes slices on plates. There were 6 cakes! It was delicious, by the way. I get paid for some of the time I spent there since it was during my work hours. However, I do not get paid for the last hour.

Arrey @ Women of Color in STEM Conference Montgomery College Point of contact

Going on this trip was a great experience. I met great female leaders who have accomplished great things. I was a Montgomery College Point of Contact during this trip. I made sure I took attendance, made sure everyone got back on the bus after we made a stop, made sure everyone was okay, knew the agenda and was not lost. It was much work, but very fun. I learned much from this experience. Managing over 40 people is not easy lol. However, I did not do it alone. There were four other MC Point of Contacts.

I don’t regret volunteering for this event. I led group C and I got to show the children around MC. The MBI put together some activities for the kids. They loved it! They seemed fascinated by everything they saw.

    Arrey @ Women of MC

It was wonderful. Everyone was so happy. Since we are a new club, we did not expect the event to turn out the way it did. Over 50 people showed up. The guest speakers had wonderful stories to share. It was just wonderful. Our next event will be even better.
