Last shift of the year -- it was definitely a reflective shift knowing the children are only there temporarily. I said my goodbyes in case I do not see them again when I return from break. The last session was spent watching How The Grinch Stole Christmas with popcorn! Then creating a huge Christmas Tree with mod podge, glitter, paint, cotton balls, and beads. The children are definitely extremely creative!

The children at the shelter love using glitter so most of the day was spent making wonderful glitter projects.
Had a conversation with a parent on how we can collaborate to provide their infant enhanced learning opportunities. This child loves wheels and sounds and will be catering lesson plans towards the infant's interests.
Unfortunately was extremely busy with finals and wasn't able to come in for almost 2 weeks, but made sure to come prepared with an engaging project I titled "making your own LOL Surprise Doll" the children loved the process and all the glitter involved!
Today I learned that LOL Surprise Dolls are and Rina Sawayama are the children's favorite toy and singer!
As much as I love the internship and the program, I realize I need to balance my schoolwork and volunteering. 4 hours 2x a week is not logistically manageable so I switched over to 3 hours 2x a week.
First day fully immersed in the Children's Enrichment Program and getting to learn the children's interests.
