Today was an organization day! The kids went through their portfolios and went through a checklist of what they had finished and what they still needed to do. If kids were finished with it all, they got to do choice based art! If not, each kid worked on what was left on their to-do list. It was a good day.
Today was great! Kids kept working on their projects and I walked around and helped them out if they needed it, and asked them what they were making. One of the kids was making a paper mache T-rex, and another kid was making a helmet that was based off of Boba-Fett's helmet from Star Wars. It was a great day.
Today was really fun! I got to help out Mrs.Hendrickson by working with the kids that she usually spends most of her time with, so she could give some attention to the other kids who have needed her attention as well, but haven't been able to get it.
Today's class was a bit louder than yesterday's but it was super fun! I got to meet new kids and see what kind of creative ideas they were coming up with for their zig zag book project.
It was fun to see what Mrs.Hendrickson's 6th grade art classroom looks like, especially because I have her as my professor as well. Today was "vocabulary torture" day and worked on understanding the 8 different elements of art. It was a fun class time. Mrs.Hendrickson put on some country music during work time per request of one the students. I think that is a fun idea, it is always fun when you get to listen to the kind of music you like during class!
