I volunteered at the Walk to End Alz. We arrived at 6:30 a.m. and began setting up tables, blow ups, and food stands for the walk. We also helped assist with check-ins and registration. Shortly after, we watched the ceremony and began the walk.
I partcipated in the STRONG girl festival at Hutchinson school. Eva Leake and I facilitated the "plank walk" activity. We were in charge of a classroom in order to conduct the activity to the attendees. We had to discuss the "mission" behind the activity, which was a group/communication skill.
At Page Robbins, we went on a day it was closed to patients. We split into numerous groups in order to complete housekeeping projects needing to be done for the nonprofit organization. I participated in helping with lawn/building care, cleaning and organization, and painting.
I got to hall proctor during Language Arts TCAP testing. During that time, I monitored classrooms while teachers left the room and watched hallways while scholars left the room for breaks.
We went as a FROSH Camp counselor group. It was an amazing experience. We made breakfast burritos and packaged them.
I went to Leadership Prep Academy. I helped students in their reading workbooks and talk about MLK day.
