I helped out at an all day camp at my old high school, Seton Catholic. I got to speak to the modified JV and varsity team. I also got to run the camp.
On November 19th we had the chance to go visit Mikaylah in the hospital before her infusion she has to receive every 8 weeks. Then on November 22 we had Mikaylah’s signing to the team!
We finally got to meet our player we are adopting to the team and it was really nice to meet her and her family.
Helped clean up the local church in Douglas Massachusetts. It was a good experience to make sure the church was clean for people to go on Sunday.
Got to ref a student and teacher basketball game. Lots of smiles and laughs
This was to talk to the mentors about things that are going on within the program and how our mentees are doing.
We got to have a mini clinic and hear from speakers. One who is an olympian who played softball at GW but is now in the olympics for bobsled.
The Women's basketball team got to put on a little clinic at Hayfield Secondary School. This was fun because there was a bunch of different age groups and the kids were having fun and trying to impress us. They got to hear from each of us and I think it inspired them to want to do great in school and maybe even contiune to play basketball in college.
A mentor program and my mentee came to my game she got to tour the smith center locker rooms and meet the team. Fun experience.
