I volunteered at a Space Celebration event for kids that helped them learn more about space through fun activities. I volunteered for three shifts. The first shift was from 10-12pm. During this shift I helped make crafts and setup the venue. From 12-4pm the event took place, and I helped check the families in, and then from 4-6pm I helped clean up. This event took place at the Kennedy Library.
I volunteered with the Saint Charles PTO by selling spirit wear at a Saint Charles East basketball game. During my shift, I was in charge of organizing the gear, selling as much as I could, dealing with the money, and then returning all of the equipment back to its assigned storage closet. I worked from 5-8pm at the main gym at the high school.
I had so much fun decorating trees in the Colonnade Room and setting up garland outside of the auditorium. It was a great way to help the community and get in the holiday spirit.
I worked with the K-1 group, and I had such a fun time getting to know them and do activities with them. It was really amazing to see how many of them understood their homework so well and how many of them wanted to show off how smart they are. I loved it!
I volunteered my time and effort toward making an end of the year program video for the Saint Charles East Girls Volleyball Program. I collected videos throughout the season and compiled and edited everything into a twenty-minute video that encaptures the essence of the whole season. I am so glad I had this opportunity, and I would love to volunteer for their program again.
I had so much fun making blankets and scarfs. It was such a cute idea, and it was a great way to help the community and bond with my sisters.
Over Fall Break, I volunteered with the Saint Charles East PTO. I unboxed new spiritwear, organized it all by size, and then reboxed it in an organized fashion. Right after that, the PTO members and volunteers went to the high school football game and sold the spiritwear at the entrance of the game. I really enjoyed being part of the whole process, and I was really grateful that I got to work with such an enthusiastic group of people.
