I had a great time supporting cancer victims at Brett's American Restaurant. In the midst of tests and quizzes, it was a nice break to relax with friends and enjoy some great food while also contributing to others.
I had a great time packaging breads for families in the Athens community. We had the opportunity to give back to the community by bagging bread by variety and storing them in bins for shipment. It was an outstanding experience.
The accounting banquet was an amazing way to earn service hours. It was an outstanding experience that fostered camaraderie and cordiality among professionals, faculty and accounting students. I thoroughly enjoyed my time forming relationships with people I already knew as well as professionals I had never met in the past.
I had an outstanding time packaging food at the Protiviti on hunger event. I believe that we were able to package approximately 20,000 meals for others in the world. The event helped me have further insight into the needs of the world and what I can do with my time to help.
My overall experience was great as I learned how to adequately prepare students for the difficulties of accounting classes by helping them work through problems and give them a basic understanding of the accounting information system.
It was a great experience at the Habitat for Humanity center as we organized various items at the store and facilitated in the maintenance of operations by clearing lanes that were crowded with merchandise so that people could move around in the store. We basically moved items back into place and threw away trash that had gathered in certain areas of the center.
I helped greet tax case competitors and judges so that they would be made welcome at the Terry College of Business to perform their best and make the best argument for the case.
