It was a very great experience that I'm glad I got to do with my N-Sisters!

Middle School Debate Tournament - Atlanta Urban Debate League (VIRTUAL)

This was my first time volunteering to be a judge for the AUDL. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would do it again. The session I attended today was virtual and was very engaging despite not being in person. I was amazed to see just how knowledgeable and well-spoken the participants were. I firmly believe that this organization is a great benefit to the community and cannot wait to volunteer with them again!

    Billae' @ Patchwork City Farms

I really enjoyed my time spent at Patchwork City Farms! Resembling somewhat of a community garden, it is located in a neighborhood of Atlanta, close to the West End. The farm prides itself on showing those living in the city how to sustain themselves through gardening by taking on volunteers to tend to the farm. Though it was cold that morning, the labor we put into the garden really got everyone heated up. We weeded the garden and placed down compost/mulch using a variety of tools, such as wheelbarrows, shovels, and hoes. It was great connecting with other students that went to nearby universities of Georgia as we all toiled away that morning. Once we were done, we could see the stark improvement from when we had originally got there!
