It was really fun to finally volunteer at the Concho Community Garden. There were multiple projects they had to get done, so you could always keep busy!
Great volunteer event! Meaghan was an awesome leader, and it was a good way to become familiar with composts and recycled items.
We helped people become aware of the differences between compost and recyclable items. It was cool, despite the cold weather, and the leaders gave good instruction.
I helped out tabling for my club that I am a part which is the Student Suppliers Association. We sold pumpkin spice brownies and vanilla cupcakes in order to fundraise money to buy school supplies for lower income children around Austin.
I am part of this club called the Student Suppliers association, and we go tutor kids after class or during lunch at various elementary schools around UT. I had the pleasure to go tutor some kids at Ridgetop Elementary and it was awesome!
We helped set up for the Trash for Treasure sale at UT. I would say it was a great success, because students and staff came out to the event.
It was a great way to learn how to actually distinguish what goes in the trash, recyclable items, and compost items. Learned something new and helped educate others as well!
