Having no organizing experience going into this, it was really interesting and fun to organize this clinic. I learned that there are plenty of people out there who want to help, they just don’t always have the connections they need to make it happen.
When a third party offered to provide the funding, I knew we had a viable and uniquely accessible pro bono opportunity. I learned more about insurance, interpreters, notaries, and logistics than I could have anticipated. I am also so glad that students were able to assist with what ended up being very simple legal work.
