About

The San Francisco International Ocean Film Festival (SFIOFF), is the first and largest film festival focused on the ocean in North America. Now in its 11th year, the four-day festival will be held in March 2014 in San Francisco, CA. Independent ocean realted films from around the world will be presented along with an Opening Night Gala, Awards Program and Wrap Party. The films focus on a variety of subject matters; marine wildlife, conservation and enviornmental efforts, coastal cultures, ocean exploration, and saltwater sports to name a few. Programs include discussions with filmmakers and/or content experts, creating a unique public forum on the environmental, social, and cultural importance of the Earth's limited and valuable marine resources.

Mission: The mission of the San Francisco International Ocean Film Festival is to inspire people to appreciate and care for the ocean by revealing its wonders through independent films.
