About

JBFCS serves over 55,000 New Yorkers annually from all religious, ethnic, and economic backgrounds through a comprehensive range of 175 community-based programs, residential facilities, and day-treatment centers.

Our work is built upon the professionalism and compassion of 2,200 employees, including professional social workers, licensed psychologists, and psychiatrists, as well as a cadre of clinical support personnel in continuing day treatment and residential treatment centers. A corps of 800 dedicated volunteers work with our staff to help ease the burdens that strain and disrupt the lives of our clients.

Mission: What began over a century ago as a network of volunteers bringing food and clothing to poor Jewish families is now one of the nation's largest and most comprehensive mental health and social service agencies. Leaders in the field of human services, we proudly serve people of all faiths, races and cultures promoting well-being, resilience and self-sufficiency for individuals and families at every stage of life.
