Plant a tree, save the planet, sequester future carbon. Tree Hugger Team's first tree-planting event of the new year.

Tree canopy sequesters carbon, cools the earth, and is beautiful. Learn to plant native trees provided by Washington County in Pine Point Park. By planting and preserving trees, we will contribute to the solution to climate change. Children are welcome if accompanied by an adult. Limit of 30 people for this event.

*Bring a shovel, hat, sunscreen, closed-toed shoes to wear,and gloves.

Refreshments will be provided. Restrooms are available. Directions to the planting site will be provided at the park's main parking lot. The rain date is May 8.

Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions:
  1. Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.

  2. Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information.

If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, we ask you not to register. We are doing all we can to align with best practices and keep our community healthy.
Parking Details
Park vehicle in Pine Point Park's main parking lot. A park vehicle permit will be provided on-site for volunteers.
