About
Join Ijams for Weed Wrangle Knoxville 2023 and improve Collier Preserve! Bob and Louise Collier donated this land in Knoxville’s Powell community to Legacy Parks Foundation to create a 12-acre park that now features an arboretum, low-impact walking trails, and protected wildlife habitat.
This event is part of a national volunteer effort to help rescue public parks and green spaces from invasive species by removing harmful trees, vines, and flowering plants.
Volunteers will park across the street from the park at Powell United Methodist Church, 323 W. Emory Rd. Powell 37849 and will cross the street together to get to the preserve.
Tools and gloves will be provided. Wear closed-toed shoes, and long-sleeved shirts and pants to protect yourself from thorns and poison ivy. Wear layers and bring a jacket if it's cold. BRING WATER!
Meeting Spot: Powell United Methodist Church
323 W. Emory Rd., Knoxville, TN 37849
