Wipeout Invasive Wednesday in Kingsbury Commons

Join us in Kingsbury to tackle invasive species like Lingustrum and Catclaw throughout Kingsbury Commons.

Help maintain a healthy ecosystem by removing species such as Bamboo, Nandina, Ligustrum, Chinese Privet, and Catclaw that crowd out native species without providing sustenance for the fauna that live in the park. By removing these plants from Pease Park's ecosystem we can replace them with native species that do provide beneficial ecosystem services.

Please wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty and bring a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated. We will provide all other necessary materials and will gather at the Volunteer Hub before heading to the Hillside.
