Are you passionate about running and looking for a way to contribute to the Austin running community? The Austin Runners Club invites you to join our incredible volunteer team on December 8, 2024 for one of Austin’s oldest and most iconic races benefitting Marathon Kids! Decker Challenge offers competitive Half Marathon and 5K distances on one of Austin's hilliest courses. Our runners need your enthusiasm and encouragement from start to finish! We can't wait to see you!

Check-In with Lindsey at the volunteer tent inside the Banquet Hall. Find your group and carpool over to the Decker Lane Elementary School parking lot. Across the street you will see the water barrel and tables set-up. Once you arrive, start setting out cups and filling with water. Keep track of trash on the ground and throw it away in cardboard bins next to the water stop. Keep refilling the table with cups filled with water. Make sure everything is set-up and ready at the water stop by 7:30 a.m. The Half Marathon begins at 8 a.m. and the 5K begins at 8:10 a.m. Once the last runner gets through this side of the course you will be notified and then clear all trash off the ground and the tables and throw it away in the bins. | Provide critical support with hydration, cheers and encouragement for our runners as they conquer the Decker hills.
