About
Join the Conservancy and help take care of Live Oak Meadow!
Open to participants 13+; youth under 16 years of age must have adult supervision.
🌳What to Expect
This volunteer opportunity will focus on removing aggressive species, watering developing trees, mulching, and other general maintenance tasks to care for Live Oak Meadow. In instances when we are watering trees, please keep in mind that volunteers will lift buckets of water of up to 40 pounds.
🥾 What to Wear and Bring
Please bring water in a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated and wear comfortable, weather-appropriate, closed-toed shoes and clothing that you do not mind getting wet and dirty.
We highly encourage long pants and long-sleeved shirts whenever possible. PPC will provide all necessary materials, including gloves, but you are welcome to bring your own pair.
🚘 Parking Information & Meeting Location
We highly encourage alternative modes of transportation such as walking, biking, public transportation, carpooling, or ridesharing when visiting Pease Park.
If you drive, please park in the small parking lot located in Live Oak Meadow (2208 Parkway). Once you arrive, please meet at the wooden picnic table underneath the large oak tree just next to the small parking lot.
A note about Pease Park Conservancy's events:
If you sign up, please make every effort to show up. Our events are free, so all of our community members can attend. But we plan our events to be meaningful for the number of people who register to be there, so please make every effort to attend if you have registered. We understand things come up from time to time, but if you have registered, we look forward to having you there! Thank you!
