Loving Lamar Thursdays at Lamar Terrace

Join the Conservancy and help take care of Lamar Terrace!

Open to participants 13+; youth under 16 years of age must have adult supervision.

🌳 What to Expect
This volunteer opportunity will focus on aggressive species removal, tree watering, and general maintenance tasks to care for Lamar Terrace.

🥾 What to Bring and Wear
Please bring water in a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated and wear comfortable, weather-appropriate, closed-toed shoes and clothing that you do not mind getting wet and dirty. 

We highly encourage long pants and long-sleeved shirts whenever possible. PPC will provide all necessary materials, including gloves, but you are welcome to bring your own pair.

🚘 Parking Information & Meeting Location
We highly encourage alternative modes of transportation such as walking, biking, public transportation, carpooling, or ridesharing when visiting Pease Park.

If you drive, please park at the Lamar Senior Activity Center (2874 Shoal Crest Ave), then safely cross the street at the intersection of North Lamar Blvd. and West 29th Street to get to the Lamar Terrace Wildflower Meadow. Once across the street, our team will meet you by the Mystic Raven sculpture.

A note about Pease Park Conservancy's events:
If you sign up, please make every effort to show up. Our events are free, so all of our community members can attend. But we plan our events to be meaningful for the number of people who register to be there, so please make every effort to attend if you have registered.
