Calling Innovators, Investors and Change-makers

Sport Matters is joining forces with For Impact Capital Investment Company and the Sport4Impact International Network based in Milan, Italy, to deliver an inaugural forum in Brisbane, Australia, on Monday 24th and Tuesday 25th November 2025. The forum aims to stimulate innovation in the sport and social impact space and explore new sustainable partnerships with a view to strengthen targeted investments to scale social impact innovations in and through sport.

Impact Investment in sport refers to the intentional placement of capital into sports initiatives that generate measurable social and environmental outcomes, alongside a financial return, in application of SDG17. It is a growing area that blends the reach and influence of sport with the goals of social change, community development, and sustainable investment. This forum builds on the hosting of the 1st International Symposium on "Impact investing in sports along ESG emerging standards" on 15th April 2024. Global data continues to show a strong link between grassroots sport participation and sustainable development, yet sport remains underutilized and misunderstood as a domain of investment.
