Skilled Labor

This volunteer project is for individuals only (not groups). If you are looking for group volunteer opportunities at our facilities, check out our Home Rehab and Community Clean-Up projects.

Have a specialized skill or experience in trades like electrical, plumbing, or drywall? Give back to the community by volunteering your time and talent to support projects across Family Promise’s facilities.

What to Expect:

• Depending on your skillset, we can plug you into projects at our manufactured home sites or parks and, occasionally, at our shelters or main office.
• Volunteers are welcome to lend a hand once or on a recurring schedule. Scheduling is flexible and available on weekdays.
• Project sites are located across Kent and Ottawa counties.
• If volunteering at a Partners in Housing site, please be aware manufactured homes are not required to meet ADA standards and therefore narrow doorways, stairs, and tight spaces may limit accessibility for some volunteers.
