Planting Prep and Weeding at ECO City Farms (Edmonston Farm)

Join ECO City Farms and CNPP as we remove invasive plants and prepare for some native planting this spring. The focus will be on raking out and digging up the roots. 

We will meet at ECO City's Edmonston Farm.

Please wear sturdy, closed toe shoes, long pants, and long-sleeved shirts.

CNPP has tools, gloves, and safety goggles you can use, but feel free to bring your own.

Please bring a reusable water bottle. We will have water and snacks. 

Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Anyone between the ages of 16-18 must bring a waiver signed by an adult with legal responsibility for them. Paper copies of the waiver will be available on site.

CNPP and Eco City Farms are working together to expand the Native Plant Food Forest planted in 2025, create native plant incubator plots, and plant landscaped gardens filled with native plants. This project is funded by a Sustainable Community Grant from Pepco.
