Morris Park Stewardship Workday Part 2

Join Philadelphia Parks and Recreation's Stewardship Team for a volunteer workday in Morris Park on Friday, September 18th, from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. We will meet near the intersection of Sherwood Road and West End Dr (see location here) and clear invasive plants and trash from the trails near the meeting spot.

This volunteer event is open to people of all abilities. Anyone interested is welcome to participate. Please bring water, sunscreen, and snacks as needed, and be advised that a restroom and water source may not be immediately accessible. We will provide the appropriate tools.

This event will be cancelled in the event of heavy rain or thunder or severe weather conditions.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO:

• In general, please wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.

• Sturdy, closed-toe shoes like boots or sneakers are required (no ballet flats, flip-flops, or sandals).

• We strongly recommend wearing long pants that cover your ankles and long sleeves to protect your arms.

• Please bring a water bottle with you, as well as sun protection and any snacks you may need.

With any questions, please contact the Stewardship Team at pprstewardship@phila.gov
