Volunteer Opportunity: Holiday Food Distribution
Join us in spreading holiday cheer and supporting our local seniors! United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties and Christian Help are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help with our holiday programs. Volunteers are needed for multiple roles and days:
Opportunities & Dates:

Senior Food Packing: December 8 | 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at Helpful Harvest

Senior Home Deliveries: December 9 | 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Drive-Thru Distribution: December 10 | Outdoors – Two shifts available:

Food Morning: 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM/ Toys: 8 am - 12 pm

Food Afternoon: 12:00 PM – 4:30 PM/ Toys: 12 pm - 4 pm

Volunteer Roles:
-
Help pack and organize food for seniors (warehouse, dress in layers)

Assist with home deliveries to seniors

Support the drive-thru distribution (outdoors, dress for the weather)

Kitchen support: prep coffee, snacks, and lunch for volunteers

Sign-in table support for greeting and checking in volunteers

- Check lists for registration of toys
- Pull bags to distribute
Details:
This is a hands-on opportunity to make a direct impact in our community. The main event on December 12 is outdoors, so please dress appropriately for the weather. All volunteers are appreciated, whether helping inside or outside!
